Matt Schallert

I was the first engineer at Chronosphere, where I helped build the company’s Infrastructure organization and served as a technical lead as it scaled to four teams across multiple countries. I’m now a Distinguished Software Engineer at Palo Alto Networks following its acquisition of Chronosphere.

Before Chronosphere, I was a Site Reliability Engineer at Uber on the Observability team, where I worked on the open-source M3DB project that powered Uber’s internal observability stack. Earlier in my career, I was an SRE at Tumblr after graduating from Carnegie Mellon in 2015.
